Rainy Somersby

Somersby Falls Bushwalk

I hadn't been to Somersby Falls in a while so after the recent rainfall I decided to see how it was looking.

Compared to my last visit, there was a lot more water flowing! The rain had washed a lot of mud into the water, leaving some of the falls with thick, yellow water falling down them, something I hadn't seen before. This resulted in some interesting patterns at the middle falls, where it met with the cleaner water coming from the main falls.

I walked a bit further down to the lower falls, where a large log had been washed down during the rain. Crazy to imagine the amount of water needed to move something that big!

I  started the walk back to the car, but not before stopping at the main falls for a quick panorama. Anyone thinking about checking out Somersby Falls it's a lovely spot for a quick bushwalk or even a picnic up the top!

Very muddy water flowing here and down into the other falls.

Glad I wasn't around when that big log came tumbling down!
